Hadassah Bulletins and Newsletters

The Hadassah Bulletins and Newsletters collection covers the first twenty years of publication, 1914-1933, years of tremendous growth in the organization in terms of both membership and dollars raised. Mailed initially to every chapter and later to every member, the earliest issues contain detailed information about Hadassah's first projects in Jerusalem and elsewhere in Palestine, the formation of chapters around the United States, fundraising activities and statistics, membership educational resources, the women who served as national leaders and information of general Jewish interest. Most of this information is not available from any other source, and serves as a critical primary resource for interested researchers. Previously accessible only in fragile original printed form, the fully searchable format here makes every place name, every person and every subject easily and quickly available.
